Sting, The (1974)
POSTER TYPE
One-Sheet
27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]
POSTER CONDITION & GRADING
Very Good, linen-backed. There is slight bleed through from the reverse in the top left-hand white area, and one small mark visible from the reverse below the word 'confidence'. Both these minor flaws can be seen in the photo above, otherwise, the poster is in excellent condition and displays very well. There was some very minor touch-up to the fold lines prior to linen-backing.
DIRECTOR
ROY HILL, George
POSTER TAGLINE & DESCRIPTION
Poster Artist: Richard Amsel. '"...all it takes is a little confidence". Hill's follow-up to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid re-united Newman and Redford for another hugely enjoyable and successful film (winner of 7 Oscars). This time the two play conmen in 1936 Chicago. Vivid period recreation and Scott Joplin's famous music. Great poster art of the two stars by Richard Amsel.
