    House of Bamboo, the 1955 Samuel Fuller film noir thriller set in post-war Tokyo and superbly shot in CinemaScope on location in Japan. Fuller also wrote the additional dialogue and portrayed a Japanese policeman in the movie.  The film is a remake of the 1948 film noir The Street With No Name.
