  • POSTER CONDITION & GRADING

Very Good. Linen-backed and restored by Flicks Film Posters in 2024. Prior to linen-backing and restoration the poster was in fair condition. The poster was heavily rippled throughout There were tears at upper left that had been repaired with tape from the back and there were some other defects. We carried out extensive and very careful restoration before and after linen-backing. The poster now looks fantastic and displays superbly, although you can still see faint signs of the previous flaws and the restoration of those flaws. Important Added Info:  note that there is considerable conflicting information about who created the art for this famous poster. Some say Fred Otnes created the art, others say David Blossom, while others believe Mitchell Hooks, Ted CoConis, etc. but to date there is no definitive information about who created the artwork.
