13th Letter, The (1951)
POSTER TYPE
One-Sheet
27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]
POSTER CONDITION & GRADING
Very Good, linen backed. The poster had paper loss at the top crossfold and a couple of tiny areas of paper loss in the top 1/4 of the vertical foldline. There were minor creases on the foldlines and the most minor of border defects. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great!

POSTER TAGLINE & DESCRIPTION
"A strange kind of killer is loose in this town!"; "Whose sin will this killer bare next?"; "Based on a Story by Louise Chavance" Respectable citizens receive anonymous letters revealing their adulterous relationships. Otto Preminger's interesting Hollywood remake of Henri-Georges Clouzot's corrosive 1943 classic Le Corbeau has been unjustly neglected. Rarely mentioned alongside the better-known film noirs like Laura (1944), Where the Sidewalk Ends (1950) and Angel Face (1952), it's well worth a look and features the sultry Linda Darnell, who also starred in another Preminger noir, the superb Fallen Angel (1945).
